About Our Organization
People First is a nation-wide group helping people with disabilities become self-advocates who are aware of their rights and responsibilities as citizens and are not afraid to speak up for themselves. Our Beatrice chapter has almost 40 members and we are growing! As a group, we like to partner with other groups and help with community events. Our goals are to grow in membership, connect with the community, and to grow self-advocacy skills for our members.
Your gift would enable our members to attend the People First State Convention in Kearney and support us to provide a local Mini-Convention for those unable to travel. Both conferences provide educational and social opportunities for our members to become self-advocates.
