Can my organization sign up to particpate?
All registered 501(c)3 organizations who operate in Gage County, NE are encouraged to apply for participation during the specified sign up period each year. A "Sign Up" link will appear on the front page of the biggivegage.org website when the sign up period is open each year. Once your non-profit status is verified and your project approved, you will be contacted via email and your page will be made active on the site. Sign ups will typically open 1-2 months before the Big Give, and close 4 weeks prior.
How can my business sponsor the event?
Big Give Gage is only made possible by donors and supporters like you! If you would like to talk to someone about being a donation site, provide matching funds, or sponsor a fundraising event, call Verdella Vetrovsky at 402-806-0037 or email biggivegage@gmail.com.
How do I make a donation?
Donations to participating organizations can be made online on September 14th at biggivegage.org.

If you choose to mail a check donation, those must be recived BEFORE September 14th. The mailing address is Big Give Gage, PO Box 493, Beatrice, NE 68310. If you choose to write a check, please make the check payable to Big Give Gage or the Gage County Foundation, with your selected non-profit organization in the "memo" line. 

If you would like to make a donation in-person, an in-person collection site and non-profit fair will be held at Vintage Venue, 620 Court Street, in Beatrice on September 14th from 7am to 7pm. Watch social media for more details on this.
How else can I support local nonprofits?
From August 1st - August 30th, individuals are encouraged to purchase items from the swag store. A portion of all proceeds go back to the nonprofit you choose! You can visit the store here

How much of my donation will go to the nonprofit?
The nonprofit organization you choose to donate to will receive the full amount of your donation. The Gage County Foundation will cover the 2.2% cost for online processing if made online. The Gage County Foundation takes no percentage of your gift and is run completely by a volunteer board of directors.
If I want to write a check, what do I do?
To be eligible for sponsored matching funds, all checks must be made out to Big Give Gage or the Gage County Foundation, with your selected nonprofit noted in the "memo" line.
You can bring checks directly to the in-person collection site on September 14, or mail to Big Give Gage, PO Box 493, Beatrice NE 68310. Mailed check donations must be recieved BEFORE September 14.
There will be in-person collection sites on September 14. 
All participating nonprofit organizations will be notified of gifts made to them, unless you choose to remain anonymous. Your donation receipt will come directly from the Gage County Foundation, but your selected organization will likely reach out with a great big thank you!
What if I can't find my favorite local nonprofit on the website?
If you can't find a certain nonprofit on biggivegage.org, then it's most likely that the organization did not register to participate. Encourage them to register next year if they serve the Gage County community and have a local office.
What is Big Give Gage?
Big Give Gage is a 24-hour day of giving that encourages everyone to contribute to Gage County nonprofit organizations through a single online giving platform. Big Give Gage is coordinated by the Gage County Foundation, in partnership with the Beatrice Community Hosptial Foundation.
What is the Gage County Foundation?
The Gage County Foundation is a community Foundation that exists for the purpose of raising and providing funds for the benefit of Gage County non-profit organizations engaged in the pursuit of serving the educational, cultural, recreational, historical, health and all meaningful needs of our Gage County Citizens. The Foundation is run by a volunteer board of directors who represent all facets of life in Gage County:
Don Vetrovsky, W.W. Cook, Jr., Margaret Michaelis, Terry Doyle, Roger Harris, Greg Leech, Beverly Acton, Robert Tiemann, Jody Easter, Darrell Vitosh, Laura Koch, Angie Bruna, Stephanie Clark, Shelby Watson, Rachel Kreikemeier, Kyle Dorn, and Rick Clabaugh.  The Gage County Foundation holds over $1.3 millon in assets, and has granted over $1 million back to Gage County recipients over the years.
What is the goal of Big Give Gage?
The overall goal of Big Give Gage is to promote philanthropy throughout the entire community, and highlight the important causes that area nonprofits address every single day. Big Give Gage is intended to be an bonus fundraising opportunity for local nonprofits. Each nonprofit will set their own individual fundraising goal for the day, and Big Give Gage will act as a portal for donors to help area organizations reach those financial goals.
Who is participating in Big Give Gage?
All verified 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations that are located in or serve Gage County, NE are invited to participate in this event.
Will my donation be tax-deductible?
Yes. All organizations participating in Big Give Gage are verified tax-deductible 501(c) organizations. Your donation will be recognized by the Gage County Foundation, which will issue you a tax-deductible receipt following your gift.
