About Our Organization
Rotary club members are men and women of all ages and professional backgrounds who use their talents, skills, and energy to improve the lives of people in communities at home and around the world. The Object of Rotary is to encourage and foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise and, in particular, to encourage and foster: FIRST. The development of acquaintance as an opportunity for service; SECOND. High ethical standards in business and professions; the recognition of the worthiness of all useful occupations; and the dignifying of each Rotarian's occupation as an opportunity to serve society; THIRD. The application of the ideal of service in each Rotarian's personal, business, and community life; FOURTH. The advancement of international understanding, goodwill, and peace through a world fellowship of business and professional persons united in the ideal of service.
Over the last 14 years, the Beatrice Rotary Foundation has supported the implementation of Veterans Memorial Park.
Sculptures: Current sculptures in the park represent World War II and Present Day Soldiers. Plans are already in place to recognize veterans of three additional wars.
Wall of Honor: Veterans Memorial Park accepts inscriptions of our neighbors, friends and families who have honored our country with their service to be placed on the Wall of Honor, which is the centerpiece of Veterans Memorial Park.
History Walk: Additional features of the park include the history walk, made up of twelve pedestals that depict how the community and veterans have answered the call since 1875.
Will you answer the call?
Your donation will propel the Beatrice Rotary Foundation to its ultimate goal of $80,000 for the next sculpture honoring veterans of war. Help the Beatrice Rotary Foundation honor our veterans with a donation today!
