About Our Organization

Rotary club members are men and women of all ages and professional backgrounds who use their talents, skills, and energy to improve the lives of people in communities at home and around the world. The Object of Rotary is to encourage and foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise and, in particular, to encourage and foster:

FIRST. The development of acquaintance as an opportunity for service;

SECOND. High ethical standards in business and professions; the recognition of the worthiness of all useful occupations; and the dignifying of each Rotarian's occupation as an opportunity to serve society;

THIRD. The application of the ideal of service in each Rotarian's personal, business, and community life;

FOURTH. The advancement of international understanding, goodwill, and peace through a world fellowship of business and professional persons united in the ideal of service.

Over the last 15 years, the Beatrice Rotary Foundation has supported the implementation of Veterans Memorial Park.

Current Project: 4th Statue

The Beatrice Rotary Foundation is proud of the Veterans Memorial Park and continues to make improvements This past year new lights have been updated and also the park has been professionally caulked. We will be installing the 3rd Statue this fall and are now in the process of getting funds for the 4th Statue. Inscriptions continue to come in. 4th Sculpture & Maintenance

Project Details
We are now starting to collect $$ for our 4th Sculpture for the Veterans Memorial Park. We also are looking into an Ap for our Web Page whereby you can locate the Veteran Inscription already placed on the walls. Cost for 4th Sculpture is approximately $65,000. Cost for Ap for Web Page is estimated to be $2,000. We appreciate any donation you can provide. We continue to take inscriptions for the Walls of Honor and you can locate the form at our web site: beatricevmp.com. We say thank you in advance.

Wall of Honor: Veterans Memorial Park accepts inscriptions of our neighbors, friends and families who have honored our country with their service to be placed on the Wall of Honor, which is the centerpiece of Veterans Memorial Park.

History Walk: Additional features of the park include the history walk, made up of twelve pedestals that depict how the community and veterans have answered the call since 1875.
