This Year's Project: Sertoma/Astro Park New Playground
About Our Organization
Over the past 60 years, the Beatrice Sertoma Club has donated hundreds of thousands of dollars for commuity projects, sponsored youth activities, recognized community leaders, and made people aware of hearing health options, all to make Beatrice and Gage County a better place to live.
Current Project: Sertoma/Astro Park New Playground
Astro Park, built in 1971, had its current playground added in 1988. While the splash pad, funded by Sertoma in 2019, has been a great addition, the playground is now over 40 years old and not ADA compliant.
To ensure that all children can play safely, Sertoma and the City of Beatrice are teaming up to build a new, inclusive playground. If the Sertoma Club raises $85,000, the City will match this amount and provide all the labor needed. Thanks to our generous community of donors, we are already halfway to our goal. The remaining amount needed is $40,000.00.
