This Year's Project: New Uniforms
Let me win, But if I can not win, Let me be brave in the attempt.
Beatrice Special Olympics provides year round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities and their unified partners, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in the sharing of gives, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympic Athletes and the community.
Current Project: New Uniforms
We have over 85 athletes including people supported by Region V and Mosaic.
We offer year-round sports with regional and state events in most of them.
Bowling Basketball Swimming
Track and Field Soccer Softball
Bocce Flag Football
We love to involve and be involved with the community whenever possible.
- Annual basketball scrimmage with Beatrice Police Department
- Law Enforcement Torch Run with local Law Enforcement
We are always trying to reach families that may not know about us.
- Homestead Days Parade
- Gage County United Way Carnival
- Ready, Set, Go
We are a community that is here for our athletes & families for more than just sports.
- Annual athlete & family potluck in the park
- Annual Carnival for our athletes & their families
Our Goal for the Big Give Gage is $4,000.
This will help us purchase much-needed new uniforms for our athletes. Our current uniforms have been used for the past 6 years, being split between 6 different sports, and worn by over 50 different athletes per sport. The new uniforms will also be reversable for times when our Beatrice teams play each other in a regional or state event - yes we are THAT big!
Your donation will help us to change lives through the power of sport by encouraging and empowering people with intellectual disabilities, promoting acceptance for all, and fostering communities of understanding and respect.
