Beatrice Special Olympics provides year round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities and their unified partners, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in the sharing of gives, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympic Athletes and the community.
Beatrice Special Olympics is in need of new reversible uniforms to use for Softball, Flag Football, Soccer & other sports. A few years ago, Big Give Gage helped up with new reversible Basketball uniforms. This has been a major help at competitions, as we sometimes have to compete against our own team. We have been using our grey jerseys for almost 10 years & they are worn out. You can help support our athletes get the new uniforms they need & deserve!
Youth Recreation Inc. provides summer baseball, softball, and t-ball for gage county youth. YRI provides uniforms, equipment, umpires, field maintenance to run the program.
TeamMates is an organization founded by Dr. Tom and Nancy Osborne in 1991 with chapters forming throughout Nebraska. TeamMates matches caring adults with youth in grades 3 - 12 from the Beatrice Public Schools.
