About Our Organization

The Evangelical Lutheran Good Samaritan Society, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization started in Beatrice in 1958.

Our assisted living location opened in 2002. Our mission-dedicated to sharing God’s love through the work of health, healing and comfort. Our vision is to improve the human condition at every stage of life through exceptional care, spiritual enrichment, innovation and discovery. Good Samaritan Society – Beatrice currently employs over 130 staff members between the nursing home and the assited living. The nursing home has a short term rehab/post-acute household that enables people to stay with us while getting stronger and then return home.

Gifts will go to our Equipment Fund which could help purchase equipment such as a new therapy bicycle. The wellness and activities are so important to our residents.  The bike will give them a chance to enjoy the weather in a fun way!  Good Samaritan likes to do special outings and this would create a special outing for everyone involved.
