This Year's Project: Funds to Assist Veterans in Need

About Our Organization

For more than 100 years, the VFW Auxiliary has been fulfilling its original objectives by supporting the Veterans of Foreign Wars, serving veterans, service members and their families, and spreading patriotism nationwide. Our members have volunteered millions of hours, donated millions of dollars and honored hundreds of thousands of veterans. Volunteer with us and celebrate the freedoms we enjoy in America. On a local level, we donate funds to the Children's Miracle Mile Network, Backpack Program at BPS, Community Food Pantry, Beatrice Buddy Check, the water for the Washington D.C. 8th grade trip, and create and give Christmas/Valentine bags to the Veterans and Aux. members who are in nursing homes.

Current Project: Funds to Assist Veterans in Need

2024 Veterans Support Initiative

This year, our 2024 project is dedicated to raising crucial funds to support the veterans within our Gage County Communities. We are honored to serve approximately 70 veterans, ensuring that their sacrifices are remembered and their needs are met.

These funds will enable us to reach out to our veterans during the holidays with care packages that include essential items and a heartfelt greeting card. It’s our way of letting them know they are not forgotten.

In addition, we honor the memory of our fallen soldiers by recognizing Gold Star families. On the birthdays of these heroes, we send flowers to their loved ones as a tribute to their service and sacrifice.

We also extend our care to veterans and auxiliary members residing in nursing homes or who are homebound. These care packages provide them with basic necessities that they might otherwise struggle to access.

Why Your Support Matters: Your generosity allows us to continue these vital programs, ensuring that our veterans and their families feel the appreciation and respect they deserve. Every contribution, no matter the size, makes a significant impact on the lives of those who have given so much for our country.

Thank you for standing with us as we honor and support our veterans!
