About Our Organization
In 2001, eight men met in a basement who all had a passion for trains and model railroading and B.A.R.E was born! As a non-profit organization, the Beatrice Area Railroad Enthusiasts are committed to preserve local railroad history and is open to the public. We educate the public about the importance of railroads and their history in the building of this great nation. Whether you enjoy model railroading or just like to photograph trains and enjoy railroad memorabilia our mission is simple: promote and encourage people of all ages to enjoy the world of trains and one of the best hobbies around... model railroading! We are proud to be part of beautiful downtown Beatrice, NE so stop on by and see us on historic 5th Street and bring the family and be sure to follow our progress on Facebook and our newly redesigned website! https://barerrclub.wixsite.com/bareclub
As you may know, the Beatrice Area railroad Enthusiasts have a train show every October here in Beatrice, NE and every year we try to have a bigger venue than the previous year. As we grow bigger with numerous people and families from the area as well as different states attending, we need donations to build and buy much needed tables to fill the auditorium to meet this need. We also recently acquired another room at our clubhouse for expansion on 5th Street and need display cases to house railroad memorabilia for our museum and much needed wood to build more layouts for the public to come and enjoy with their families. Since we rely mostly on donations, please consider donating to our organization so we may continue to grow and provide yearly model railroading events and railroad museum and educational material for the public, Thank You for your support!
