About Our Organization

Beatrice Area Railroad Enthusiasts is committed to preserve local railroad history and is open to the public. We educate the public about the importance of railroads and their history in the building of this great nation. Whether you enjoy model railroading or just like to photograph trains and enjoy railroad memorabilia our mission is simple: promote and encourage people of all ages to enjoy the world of trains and model railroading. We are proud to be part of beautiful downtown Beatrice so stop on by and see us and bring the family and be sure to follow our progress on Facebook!

Current Project: New location remodel

In June of this year we moved to a new location. This is requiring a total rebuild and reconfiguration of our HO and N scale model railroads as most of the fragile modulars and track were beyond repair when dissasembled as well as our train memorabilia and rare railroading artifacts displays. As a 501c non profit organization, we will be using these needed funds to rebuild and computerize the layouts as well as setting up new railroad artifact displays for the publics enjoyment from various railroads and to increase the publics knowledge of the importance the railroads had to build the nation with the funds received.
