About Our Organization
The Beatrice Public Library provides a variety of services, including books, videos, DVDs, audio books, free internet search service, periodicals, genealogy, local history collections, and makerspace. Story times, book discussion groups for all ages, locally-produced exhibits, traveling displays, cultural programs reflecting our diverse community -- there is something for everyone.
Current Project: Outdoor Learning and Fine Arts Center
The Outdoor Learning and Fine Art Center is an ongoing project to support and enhance the mission of the Beatrice Public Library Foundation. This project will enable library activities to be conducted in an outdoor setting that is conducive to learning while enjoying the beauty of the outdoors. The project will include an outdoor classroom, musical instruments, and a gazebo that will allow for music groups, plays, etc. Patrons will be able to bring lawn chairs or blankets while they enjoy casual entertainment. Plantings of trees, shrubs, and flowers will enhance the area.
Thanks to the support in the previous years, we were able to acquire outdoor musical instruments: Harmony flowers, harmony bells, a petal drum, and a rainbow metallophone.
