About Our Organization

The Beatrice Foster Care Closet is passionate about restoring dignity to children in crisis as they enter into the foster care system.

We are here to help support youth throughout their entire foster care journey.

The Beatrice Foster Care Closet provides up to 5 brand-new outfits, jacket/coat, pajamas, shoes, socks, underwear, and hygeine supplies each season (Fall/Winter and Spring/Summer) for as long as the youth remains in foster care. When a youth is no longer in foster care, we are able to continue serving the youth through our Community Closet that is well-stocked with gently used clothing donations
We provide a quiet, private environment that is not open to the public in order to help accomodate any special needs for the youth or for their caregiver
Our foster parents/caregivers schedule a time to shop that works best in their schedule (including nights and weekends, as needed), so that we can offer all our focus on meeting the needs of the youth and the family
We provide additional support resources to families navigating the road of foster care

Current Project: Project Restock!

The Beatrice Foster Care Closet is looking to restock diapers/pullups, wipes, hygeine Items, and brand new clothing/pajamas for youth in Foster Care. Our Fall/Winter Season Change occurs mid-September so that any youth in foster care are able to "shop" at the Closet for seasonally appropriate items. Any restock of these items through Big Give Gage will help us to better serve youth when they come to shop with us for the Fall/Winter season beginning on October 1st.
