This Year's Project: Family Outdoor Space
About Our Organization
Epworth Family Resources works with families whose children or youth are in imminent risk of out-of-home placement or who are at the point of coming back into their homes to reunite with their families. Epworth's professional staff provides services to first meet the basic family needs such as a clean and safe living environment, nurtitional resources, and personal health and hygiene concerns. Services are then tailored to fit the family's specific needs, goals, values, learning styles, and circumstances with a strong focus on parenting skills. Epworth Family Resources provides Foster Care services as well as In-Home Family & Safety services.
In 2023, Epworth Family Resources served:
-176 Children
-176 Adults
Epworth Family Resources has a Beatrice location, where our In-Home team provides the following services
-Parenting Time/Supervised Visitation
-Family Support
-Drug Testing
Current Project: Family Outdoor Space
Epworth's In-Home Family Services help families by providing direct assistance and coordination of community resources so the challenges the family is facing are addressed quickly and effectively. We help the family work towards remaining a family unit and/or meet the goals of reunification in a healthy and safe environment.
Currently the In-Home Family Service's office located in Beatrice offers an indoor space for parents, children and youth a safe place to play, learn and grow. The space includes a living room space, small kitchen and play area.
We would like to expand an area outside that would include a fenced in area with play toys for all ages, outdoor furniture, picnic table and a small storage shed.
Safe Family Space
Project Details
In order to provide a safe, comfortable environment where families can learn and spend time together, our Beatrice office is in need of items for outdoor activites as well as furniture and appliances. The current space we use for family visitation, support, and parenting time needs outdoor play equipment such as riding toys, slides, a basketball hoop, and a swing set so the children have activites to do during a parent visit. Inside we need furniture as well as small appliances for the kitchen area so the families can make meals and sit down to eat as a familiy during a supervised visit. All money raised for this project will go to create an improved family space for the adults, children and youth we serve.
